The campus of Unitech Institute of Technical And Further Education is located in the heart of Rundle Mall in Adelaide. Rundle Mall is the main shopping centre in the center of Adelaide, South Australia. It was opened as Australia's first pedestrian street mall in September 1976, and features more than 600 retailers. It serves as a symbol of Adelaide's shopping district and nightlife.

Rundle Mall runs between and parallel to North Terrace (Adelaide's cultural and academic precinct) and Grenfell Street, from King William Street to Pulteney Street. The street continues as Rundle Street, a major restaurant and shopping strip down to East Terrace.

The area is one of the most expensive land areas in Adelaide and is considered one of the most important retail centres in the city, competing with the large shopping complexes in the suburbs such as Westfield Marion. The mall showcases many large Australian retailers including David Jones, the Myer Centre and Woolworths. Retailers sell both fresh and prepared food, comparison goods and clothes. The mall is open seven days a week, and late night trading is on Friday evenings until 9 pm.
